Anatomy for Yoga Practitioners: Lower Body

Date:  Saturday April 11, 2026

Time:  2:30-4:30pm

Cost:  50$+tax

Booking: Please purchase the workshop with the “Book” button below

How to prepare: Wear comfortable, appropriate clothing. Bring a yoga mat (some are available to rent at the studio), a towel, a water bottle, notebook and pens. Drinking water is available on site.

This workshop offers yoga students and teachers a practical exploration of functional anatomy and its relevance to movement on the mat. We’ll explore key muscle and joint actions as well as the primary nerves involved in common yoga postures. You’ll learn how these structures support movement, stability and ease, and how to apply this knowledge directly to your own practice. Together, we’ll break down familiar poses, explore variations and create space to work through individual questions so you can continue to grow your practice while supporting safety, longevity and confidence on the mat.

The Lower Body workshop will cover the anatomy of the lumbar spine, pelvis and lower limbs. This 2-part workshop series is instructed by a physiotherapist.

If you have specific anatomy questions, please submit them to info@innocereyoga.com prior to the workshop.
